Day 14 – Amanda

It’s so funny that I was going to write about being thankful for Amanda today, and she actually surprised me with a visit tonight!  She’s in town for a conference so she decide to swing by my apartment :)  It was so great to catch up in person and see her precious little baby bump!  Amanda is my life long best friend.  I could probably write 30 days of stories we have, but I will definitely save you from that.  We have stuck together through sooo many life changes and I’m so thankful that I have always had her to count on every step of the way!  I can’t wait to be there together for the rest of our lives!  Love you, Biggie!

I had so many good ones I wanted to post, but not digital…so here’s one of the oldest one’s on facebook ;)

Day 13 – Katie

I’m so thankful for Katie!  Here are a few reasons why:

  • She is most definitely hilarious
  • She’s my favorite Little Monster
  • We always have the best time hanging out and causing a ruckus
  • She’s not afraid to speak her mind, and I admire that because I don’t always myself
  • She’s beautiful with an amazing heart
  • She has put up with a lot from me and Jessi over the years and still loves us
Love, love, love you Katie!!

Put your paws up!

Day 12 – Dexter

Yes, I’m thankful for a serial killer.  I love him so much!  I’m thankful for having a show to keep me on my toes and excited.  I don’t have showtime so I’m waiting to see the current season, but I can’t wait to watch it first chance I get!  Plus, he’s hilarious and easy on the eyes…just wish he’d put on some chapstick.  Maybe I’ll send him some for Christmas.

Day 11 – Mark

I met Mark a little over 8 months ago…days before his sister passed away just hours after giving birth to her son.  Immediately we became the closest of friends because of our common bond of losing close siblings.  He could talk to me sometimes like he could to no one else, and I could the same with him.  He has become another “brother” of mine since I lost Will and I am thankful to have him in my life daily.  Just Friday night, he took me to a Saves The Day show at the Cat’s Cradle.  When we went to see the first band play, I followed him up front and he went exactly to the place that Will, Jared and I use to stand at every show we went to there. When I asked him why he went there he responded that that’s where he always stands to see bands at Cat’s Cradle…when the first band started playing I was overwhelmed with memories and was angry that Will wasn’t beside me, but by the end Mark and I and friends were yelling out Saves The Day songs and having a blast!  I knew he was there in spirit…so today I’m thankful for Mark and that I have a new partner to go to shows with :)

He puts up with a lot from Whitney, Me and Aldea...

Day 10 – Alice

This year I am thankful for Alice in more ways than last year.  This year I’m thankful for the way she makes me laugh, her hugs and kisses, for playing with my hair, for dancing with me, for acting silly with me and for her over abundance of love she gives everyone around her!  She is growing up to be so sweet and funny…I know she’s going to be the best big sister!

Can't get enough!

Day 9 – Whitney

Whitney and I once looked up our urban dictionary definitions, and this is what hers said:

“Crazy in the mind and beautiful in the heart. A girl most people can’t handle to be around, but those who can, never want her to leave. Family oriented and an all around sweetheart. Mouth of a sailor and body of a saint. Tends to be overdramtic and unrealistic, one of a kind. The only girl you can have a true love with. Fighting dragons and kissing princes is a daily job for this Sherlock Holmes style woman. Often an imaginary, or made up person.”

It pretty much describes Whitney to a T…I really don’t know if I could say it better myself.  I love that girl so much and she has put up with a lot from me over the past year.  I honestly don’t know what I’d do without her in my life and I’m so thankful that we found each other again!

Day 8 – My Daddy

He’s just so sweet!  I love my daddy.  He will be there at the drop of a hat for anything I ask of him.  He can fix anything, is a great cook and is always so grateful for the time we get to spend together.  He also does the most random, sweet things, like writing out my tattoo.  I love it because they are always unexpected which makes it even better. I love surprises!

Day 7 – Rihanna

Sorry for lack of thankfulness lately, but this has been a week!

I am thankful for Rihanna because she supplies me with music I love, inspires me with her beauty and I pretty much just love her all around.  ”What’s My Name” is literally one of my favorite songs…maybe a little obsessed with it. I also feel like we have the same tattoo style.

Day 6 – Alison

I just got home from my last birthday celebration with my best friend from college, Alison, and we had way too much fun!  We met at UNCG my sophomore  year and I honestly don’t think I would have made it through college without her.  Tonight she took me out to dinner and we laughed the entire time, took really funny pictures and ate great food…everyone else in the restaurant probably hated us, but we had a blast!  She is so much like me in so many ways and we can’t help but have a great time together.  Below is some of the shenanigans we caused…

Ripe old age of 27

Too much birthday cake

Day 5 – Jessi

I am so thankful for my boopsie!  Here are some of my reasons:

  • She’s been one of my longest time friends
  • She’s really funny
  • She let’s me gab for hours and stays interested
  • No matter how far apart we are, I always feel like she’s right there
  • She gives me a reason to take fun trips for long weekends
  • We have a lot of the same passions
  • She thinks I’m funny
  • She’s simply a beauty inside and out
I could go on forever, but will save you from the goopiness…is that a word? Sounded good :)  I LOVE YOU Jessi!
